Pamela Elizabeth Grimaud, Notre-Dame de Grace (MTL) via St. Lambert, QC

My audio piece centers on the fact that actor William Shatner, famous for his role as Captain James T. Kirk, is a native of the Notre-Dame-de-Grace neighbourhood of Montreal. It’s a personal remembrance of watching Star Trek as a little kid, the huge impression the series made on me, and what it was like to discover that Captain Kirk – who I had a huge crush on – was born in Montreal, just across the bridge from my home.

Pamela Grimaud is a native of St. Lambert, QC. She works as a freelance visual researcher for documentary film and TV and has an M.A. in Visual Culture, Fashion History from New York University.
